Car kits that are mounted in the car enable you to charge the phone while in the cradle and in some cases give access to an outside antenna for better reception as well as phone hands free use.

Headsets provide hands-free capability and are the most purchased accessory available.
Ear buds fit in or around your ear, and have a microphone that can be activated or muted with the touch of button. Boom headsets go over your ear and place the microphone in front of your mouth.  This enables you to talk quietly and directly into the microphone.

Bluetooth Headsets – hands free devises that use Bluetooth technology to connect to your cell without wires.  They require a battery source or need to be kept charged. You must have a Bluetooth-enabled phone or a Bluetooth adapter for your phone in order to use a Bluetooth headset.  These can be used in or out of the car.  It gives you that futuristic look. Some newer vehicles have Bluetooth as an option, so a headset may not be necessary.
